The third intake of Supercadets have begun their year long training and industry placement, with the Orientation program currently underway. The Super Cadets Program was established in 2004 to assist young people to develop a career in the not-for-profit superannuation industry and to bring fresh ideas and a new perspective to funds and related organisations within the industry.

The Super Cadets Program is jointly supported by the Australian Council of Trade Unions and the Australian Industry Group. Since inception, the Super Cadets Program has helped to launch the careers of over sixty new employees in the not-for-profit superannuation industry. This year’s program sees 19 new cadets working across a range of funds and associated bodies, coordinated by the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST).
