ACTU Superannuation Policy

Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) superannuation policy is determined at ACTU Congress which his held every three years.

The focus of ACTU Congress 2006 was on industrial relations policy and the union movement’s response to the Governments Work Choices legislation. Comprehensive policy on superannuation and retirement incomes was adopted at the 2003 Congress.

The ACTU Super Policy: ACTU's Superannuation and Retirement Incomes position paper was launched at the ACTU Congress.

The purpose of the ACTU's Superannuation and Retirement Incomes position paper  is to:

(1) reiterate the 2003 policy;
(2) set out key developments since 2003; and
(3) identify principles and priorities for the next three years.

The next ACTU Congress will be held on 2, 3 &4 June 2009.
